MANILAwin slot 777, Philippines — The police force in Central Luzon has a new commander in Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan.

In an order dated Sept. 27, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil has appointed Maranan as the new director of PNP Regional Office 3.

Maranan shall assume control of the Central Luzon police on Monday, a day before the filing of certificates of candidacy for the 2025 midterm elections.  He will replace Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. who reportedly has opted for early retirement.

As Central Luzon’s top cop, Maranan has operational control and supervision over the police units in the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija,, Tarlac and Zambales.

A graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 1995, Maranan also served as head of the PNP Public Information Office. He also had stints as Pangasinan police director and Marikina City police chief.

Replacing Maranan as QCPD director is Col. Melecio Buslig Jr.

Another senior police official who got a new post is Maj. Gen. Ronald Oliver Lee, who was appointed director of the National Police Training Institute.

Four more police officials got new posts last week. Among them is Brig. Gen. Victor Arevalo, who was designated director of the PNP Training Service.

Brig. Gen. Radel Ramos is the new head of the Headquarters Support Service while Brig. Gen. Jose Manalad Jr. was appointed chief of the Center for Police Strategy Management.

Col. Maria Sheila Portento is now the acting dean of academics of the PNPA while the Southern Police District is now headed by Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang.win slot 777
