More and more celebrities have been endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the upcoming presidential election in November, with Hollywood actress and activist Jane Fonda being one of them. Fonda even went on to describe Taylor Swift’s support as having the potential for a “big impact.”

The “Grace and Frankie” star recently expressed her enthusiasm for Swift’s endorsement of the vice president, describing it as a potential game changer in the upcoming presidential election. 

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the iconic actress praised the Grammy-award-winning artist’s intelligence and influence, stating, “I think she’s awesome. She’s amazing and very smart, and I’m very grateful and excited that she did it.”

Fonda’s admiration for Swift goes beyond fandom as she believes Swift’s involvement in the political landscape could inspire young voters to take action, further adding, “I think it’s going to have a big impact.”

Swift’s endorsement of Harris came after a heated debate between Harris and former US President Donald Trump. The singer, known for using her platform to address social issues, called Harris a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and urged her followers to research the candidates’ positions thoroughly. 

The singer-songwriter has also been vocal about the dangers of misinformation, referencing an AI-generated endorsement of Trump that falsely appeared to come from her. This incident fueled her determination to promote transparency in the political process, advocating for informed and responsible voting.

Furthermore, Fonda also underscored the importance of political involvement, particularly for younger generations, linking the current political atmosphere to significant global challenges, such as the Israel-Hamas conflict. 

She encouraged voters to seize their power and make their voices heard, stressing that abstaining from voting could have serious consequences. In her view, voting marks only the beginning of activism, as she urged people to continue advocating for justice and change beyond the ballot box.
